Summary: unionmount doesn't reauthenticate handle to mountee on setauth() Project: The GNU Hurd Submitted by: hammy Submitted on: Sat 26 Dec 2009 04:59:33 PM CET Category: Hurd Severity: 2 - Minor Priority: 3 - Low Item Group: None Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Reproducibility: None Size (loc): None Planned Release: None Effort: 0.00 Wiki-like text discussion box: _______________________________________________________ Details: When changing auth port, which could happen at the request of another process in a signal-like manner, unionmount does not reauthenticate its handle to the mounted filesystem. One way to fix this would be to use a file descriptor instead of a port and let glibc handle the reauthentication. I can't help but think this issue has been overlooked in other translators as well, so it might be a good idea to investigate this further before closing this bug. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?28408> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
