Thanks! I have briefly tested this: the patch does the right thing in the
failure case, and let's hope that it doesn't break anything else.
Please install it in the master branch -- instructions are on
[http://www.bddebian.com:8888/~hurd-web/rules/source_repositories/], please
read that page carefully before pushing to Savannah, or ask me if you need
help. Even better: first publish it in a throw-away repository on flubber, or
in a private branch on Savannah, until we get all that new Git stuff going
correctly.
