On mine the RTL-8139 worked.

gave

Ethernet controller: (..) RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (..)
The driver for my card under linux is 8139too and
A command

modinfo 8139too

sais it is RealTek RTL-8139 Fast Ethernet driver
My card worked under GNU/Hurd. (Was able for exapmle to ping)
Probably you have to configure your interface. The answer how to do it is
