By AMS request, here is a bonnie benchmark between gnumach with and without DMA. Putchar test has been disabled to make it faster (even without this, it takes more than 2 hours each one).
Thanks for doing this, was kinda curious over if the DMA patch provided any kind of improvment whatsoever. Overall, it seems to give a smallish boost when creating files, and quite a huge one when deleting and none when reading. Interesting...
