In Debian BTS we use the "fixed" tag to indicate a bug has been fixed in NMU or other weird situations I can't recall. When a bug is fixed in upstream CVS there's no tag to indicate it, someone should just update the hurd package and close it. (Jeff, were you going at it?)
Thanks for the clarification. At first glance, it seemed to me that "fixed" means: fix is applied, but there is more work to be done, which is our case. But you've revealed that this is not the exact semantics of "fixed".
This bug shouldn't be closed with new upload, or if it is, then the patch with many small fixes should be moved to Savannah. Should I do this move now?
