The user can share the same map between the Hurd and X. But I think all there 
is a way to add features and still remain compatible. Before I can confirm this 
I have to test it first.

I agree. It's just nice to support the compiled format. Especially now, because 
I want to write support for the XKB features first. I can write a XKB (human 
readable format) parser later.
