They were originally entirely compatible.  Now mach_i386.defs is different
on the two versions.  However, nothing uses the old interfaces that were
replaced by Marcus's new ones.  So I think it will be fine to use just the
oskit-mach version.  With that one installed when you build libc, the
ioperm code will be enabled and try to use the new RPCs.  An old kernel
(i.e. gnumach) should just fail with MIG_BAD_ID.
