trying to get my system on the hurd. Im freezing at
"loading single multiboot module in compat mode: /hurd/ext2fs.static" etc etc etc... the system im trying to run it on is a duron 750mhz,256Megs ram pri-mastr=quantum fireball1080 IDE ~1gig pri-slave=hitachi cdr-8130 CDROM sec-mastr=Western digital AC1425f IDE ~500M sec-slave=Conner CFS541a IDE ~540M HURD lives on hd2s1 the western digital, the first and only partition on that drive. grubs' menu.lst looks like this title HURD root (hd1,0) kernel /boot/gnumach.gz -s root=device:hd2s1 module /hurd/ext2fs.static --multiboot-command-line=${kernel-command-line} --host-priv-port=${host-port} --device-master-port=${device-port} --exec-server-task=${exec-task} -T typed ${root} $(task-create) $(task-resume) module /lib/ld.so.1 /hurd/exec $(exec-task=task-create) boot so when i boot i get all kinds of messages about paralell ports,scsi,pocket adapter then i get this Partition check (DOS partitions): hd0: hd0s1 hd2: hd2s1 hd3: [PTBL] [524/32/63] hd3s1 hd3s2 com0: at atbus0, port = 3f8, spl = 6, pic = 4.
