My Name is Sergey Izvoztchikov AKA LezDep. I saw Subj inside Hurd Tasks
List.
Recently I want through some Mach3 documentation, found info about Flick
(http://www.cs.utah.edu/flux/flick) - Flexible IDL Compiler Kit, which
seems to allow
CORBA IDL to Mach3 IPC translation and checked free ORB's available for
Linux.
I'd like to contribute my effort to Hurd community doing port of ORB and
changing
the way of servers creation (CORBA instead of MIG). I'm not sure if this
is needed.
And second one I'm not quite sure which Linux ORB is best to port. My
opinion is that
favorites are MICO and OmniORB2, but both of them have only C++
mappings. Only one
GPL ORB with C mapping is ORBit, which is still on early development
stage.
I need your opinion and advises. I'd like to hear any suggestion, even
negative.
