Ordinary accented characters are fine, but those non-breaking spaces give me the willies. In Emacs they look like underscores and I never know what they're for. (They're marked as a hack and I wish they could be removed.)

More generally, we should be careful about using odd Unicode characters. Unfortunately we have no definition of "odd", but clearly U+00E9 LATIN SMALL LETTER E WITH ACUTE is fine while U+200C ZERO WIDTH NON-JOINER is at least a little squirrelly.
