It's worse than that: I'm being told [1] that
  "The Nepal Calendar Determination Committee, a government body, is
   responsible for calculating and approving the number of days in
   each month for every year. This means reliable calendar data
   typically isn't available years in advance, as each year requires
   fresh astronomical calculations."

This sounds silly, but is in fact intended: This Nepal Calendar Determination
Committee wants to get *paid* for the accurate calendar data. [2]
