My time is limited, and when I get support requests, at the same time, for arm64-windows and for Android API level 8, I will do the support for arm64-windows only (since that has an expected number of users in the hundreds or thousands), not for Android API level 8 (which, as shown, has no vendor support any more). So, for Android API level 8, we are on a "patches thoughtfully considered" basis if you want it supported in Gnulib. Bruno
