I'm sorry, I misunderstood your last paragraph in my previous email, I
thought you were talking about the small patch I suggested in my
original email:
&& (S_ISCHR (st.st_mode) || S_ISBLK (st.st_mode))
which didn't work, as I said. I didn't see your attached patch.
I'll setup an scenery to reproduce the previous situation and I'll apply
your patch, to see what happens.
I'll keep you informed.
