My solution is to unroll a distribution tarball and copy over any files not in the source tree. I don't think that's an ideal solution tho. I added $(LIB_CRYPTO) but the autoreconf still chokes on gl_GC_RANDOM. Sorry to be so dense, but the error message leaves no clues for me.
