I'm not yet convinced.  Now that the m4 tests work correctly on
ia64*-hpux*, that platform exhibts the same failure mode for
gnulib test-strtod.  I'll investigate further before the weekend.

The failure message seems to indicate that there was a coredump
here too... perhaps that's just an artifact of the test harness?
