Thanks, inserting newlines is fine, but I'd rather avoid the non-ascii arrows. BTW, there is a "Submit News" button on a project's front page. (at least when the NEWS feature is enabled) That parenthetical NEWS-related section is too long for my taste, so I propose to move it into a footnote. What do you think of my squashing the following addition into your patch? Also, I found a direct "submit news" URL, so with this there's one less visual-search-and-click required. >From 78a91bca1e8e7427d524bbbbaec13745b9d46426 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Jim Meyering <meyer...@redhat.com> Date: Tue, 29 May 2012 11:12:11 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] move news-what-if into footnote; use "->", not UTF8 right-arrow --- top/README-release | 21 ++++++++++----------- 1 file changed, 10 insertions(+), 11 deletions(-) diff --git a/top/README-release b/top/README-release index b4f6793..9eddf62 100644 --- a/top/README-release +++ b/top/README-release @@ -65,19 +65,11 @@ Once all the builds and tests have passed, git push origin master tag v$v * Announce it on Savannah first, so you can include the savannah.org - announcement link in the email message. + announcement link in the email message.
