Thanks. I think Bruno fixed that bug on November 4 in gnulib <http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=gnulib.git;a=commitdiff;h=9bc125c35e0919e0f2923b6c761c7f6ad4fc7a80> so we should be OK already; this fix should appear in the next coreutils release.
