Oh, I see. I was confused because I thought that modules/libunistring-optional and m4/libunistring-optional.m4 belong together, because of the similar name. How about renaming the latter to m4/unistring-base.m4? Its role is to contain some macros needed by all uni*/base modules. Bruno
