I had anticipated that issue and we have:
pserver.git.savannah.gnu.org
which points to another IP (download.sv.gnu.org) that we can use.

Before to enable pserver git access, I'd like we make sure it doesn't
provide a way to launch arbitrary commands on the server, via CVS
hooks, creating custom CVSROOT in a subdirectory, etc.
