I agree. It's better not to immediately daunt people who are considering adopting gnulib. It's better if the awful realisation of the complexity of what they've taken on dawns slowly :) When it works it's fine. When you've broken it, there's an awful lot of complex autoguts in there that you have to understand something about in order to figure out what you've done wrong.
