I'd like to clarify. In response to Jason's question about a compilation problem on SunOS 4.1.4 I suggested that the denizens of bug-gnulib might be able to clarify the way forward for his particular problem (e.g. whether they would accept a patch). Findutils uses a substantial amount of gnulib code; I would not want the gnulib maintainers to think that I thought they should put in extra effort to maintain support for SunOS 4.1.4. I don't have the spare time to try to support SunOS 4.x either, so I wouldn't expect you guys to support it. I did say it "would be nice" if it worked, but then it would be nice if everything in general worked. Sadly, maintainers' time is finite.
