Summary: frcode drops last char if no final newline Project: findutils Submitted by: ametzler Submitted on: Do 31 Dez 2015 14:25:08 CET Category: updatedb Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: None Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 4.4.2 Fixed Release: None _______________________________________________________ Details: Hello, this is https://bugs.debian.org/567578 submitted by Kevin Ryde: If the input to frcode doesn't have a final newline before end of file, it drops the last char of the last filename. Eg. echo -n /some/file | /usr/lib/locate/frcode >/tmp/foo.locatedb locate -d /tmp/foo.locatedb '' prints /some/fil where I expected it to be "/some/file". No doubt it's a case of "don't do that", but it should be easy for frcode to be more careful in its reading. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?46784> _______________________________________________ Nachricht gesendet von/durch Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
