bug-findutils subscribers, You may have noticed a huge increase lately in the amount of spam to the bug-findutils lists. Indeed this list seems to have been targeted well beyond the other lists. If you have local filtering in place you may not have noticed. But looking in the archives for a previous posting would reveal the noise there.
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-findutils/2005-05/threads.html With James Youngman's permission I am enabling additional spam filtering on this list. It will be configured similarly to bug-gnu-utils and many others. Non-subscribers will have their messages held for review. This review is helped by sending these messages through spamassassin for automated classification. Non-subscribers may still post messages to the list. Infrequent posters may have their messages delayed. Active members will have their address added to the subscriber whitelist. In practice most people won't notice. This configuration has been used to good result on the bug-gnu-utils and other lists. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I have changed the list owner address from the overwhelmed generic gnu.org site list manager address to myself so that I can give the list improved attention.
