Hi all, I'm having a quite strange problem with CVS (version 1.11.17). I use CVS in eclipse (on a windows 2000 client) and it works fine, but in certain cases (on only two clients) changes will not be updated. I'll describe the problem and the steps I took trying to solve it.
Problem: When a user creates a new folder with in it a new file and then commits, everything goes well. When an other user does an update, CVS doesn't detect any changes. When the other user creates a new folder with the same name as the comitted folder and then does an update the new files are loaded. The workaround now is: close the project in eclipse, do a checkout from the CVS project and then all the changes are loaded. I've tried the following to detect whats the problem: -I created new CVS users to be shure that was not the problem -Since CVS works perfectly on some clients I thought it was a eclipse problem. I installed on an other client exact the same version of eclipse with the same plugins and on that client CVS works fine -I copied the whole eclipse folder to the client having the problems and the problem remains. >From these steps I concluded that it was a client problem. Are there any known problems concerning CVS updates on a windows 2000 client. I was thinking on a sort of timing problem, but I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
