It looks like you see not 2.41 gprofng man page.
Probably you see an old page from your ${MANPATH}.
I just installed 2.41:
% man share/man/man1/gprofng.1
....

Each gprofng command also supports the --help option. This lists the
options and a short description for each option.
For example this displays the options supported on the gprofng collect
app command:
