PS: this also occurs for seemingly any string size above 0xFFFFFFFF, for
instance:

$ ./binutils/strings -n39281421894129759127589125 <(echo
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa)
double free or corruption (out)
Aborted (core dumped)
