Hello,
We recently found an issue in MSYS2 related to the overwriting (update) of thin
static library archives by gcc-ar, which is solved by downgrading binutils from
version 2.38 to version 2.37.
Specifically, what happens is that if a given thin static library archive is
updated by replacing an existing object file with a different version, the
resulting archive will be malformed.
