This was introduced in 2760f24c4942853eac7b921e4b8843d57a602654
where the default hash style was made configurable.
The documentation (ld/ld.texi) should reflect this change.
Currenly it says
'--hash-style=STYLE'
... The default is 'sysv'.
For all platforms and configurations (and this is now false
by default for e.g. x86-64 linux).
