I was actually asking for a CRC, but an MD5 or SHA1 could do as well. But what I miss is where I can find this ID in the binary image. Or how to get it there. I mean, if I use objcopy to create a .bin or .hex file, will the id be in there somewhere? I have the feeling --build-id only places the id in a descriptive section in the elf file.
