Alan Modra <amodra at gmail dot com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|REOPENED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |INVALID --- Comment #3 from Alan Modra <amodra at gmail dot com> --- I didn't miss the fact that your complaint is with -l:. I based my reply on the ld documentation which says of -l If @var{namespec} is of the form @file{:@var{filename}}, @command{ld} will search the library path for a file called @var{filename}, otherwise it will search the library path for a file called @file{lib@var{namespec}.a}. What's more, this was the intent of -l: when support was added to GNU ld in 2007. You seem to be making use of an undocumented ld feature, in actual fact a ld bug, that has since been fixed. I see no reason to revert that fix. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ bug-binutils mailing list bug-binutils@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-binutils
