Summary: Using strip on a sstrip'ed binary corrupts it
           Product: binutils
           Version: 2.25 (HEAD)
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: binutils
Assignee: unassigned at sourceware dot org
Reporter: curaga at operamail dot com

Source to the sample binary.

Binutils git 115c6d5c37ee7
sstrip from http://riemann.fmi.uni-sofia.bg/C/lectures/pr_1/sstrip.c

Using strip on a binary previously sstripped corrupts it. Attaching examples of
pre-stripped, sstripped, and sstripped+stripped binary.

The bug affects strip versions at least since 2.17 to current git master. It
should detect if it cannot do anything, instead of corrupting the binary.

PS: The sourceware bug search is kaput. No search works.
