Bug #: 14563 Summary: Current development requires makeinfo in $PATH. Product: binutils Version: 2.23 Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: binutils AssignedTo: unassig...@sourceware.org ReportedBy: s...@dragora.org Classification: Unclassified Current development snapshot requires makeinfo in $PATH. binutils 2.22 didn't. My version of binutils is 2.22.52.0.4. In a minimal environment with busybox and without the `makeinfo' command, the configure of binutils reports: configure: WARNING: *** Makeinfo is missing. Info documentation will not be built. However, doing `make': WARNING: `makeinfo' is missing on your system. You should only need it if you modified a `.texi' or `.texinfo' file, or any other file indirectly affecting the aspect of the manual. The spurious call might also be the consequence of using a buggy `make' (AIX, DU, IRIX). You might want to install the `Texinfo' package or the `GNU make' package. Grab either from any GNU archive site. make[3]: *** [bfd.info] Error 1 [...] -- Configure bugmail: http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ bug-binutils mailing list bug-binutils@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-binutils
