Since the compiler already has a switch to suppress ALL warnings, a switch to
suppress only a certain category of warnings seems an improvement.

Based on comment #3, it appears that such a switch could include a parameter
specifying a particular function, which would be a much finer level of control
than suppressing all .gnu.warning warnings.
