Which/what "it" ?
Again, I do not see in top level 'configure' mentioning that _all_ options are
accepted.
Typically, if a script/program lists available command line options, the one
which are not listed are not accepted.
The only thing which is intuitively clear to me is that top level 'configure'
calls other 'configure' scripts (in subdirectories), but nothing is clear WRT
acceptability of options.
