Sorry, I meant please add "-v" to the gcc command line that you are running when you get the internal error from the assembler. ie I need to know that command line that gcc uses to invoke the assembler.
I tried just using "as -Av9 eh_alloc.s" to invoke the assembler but that works without generating any internal errors at all.
