the script assumes you have /tmp and you can create /tmp/mydir. Rest it does by itself. I am not sure if you need to have a gcc/ld install in a prefix to reproduce but my guess is shouldn't matter. Make sure you have libfontconfig.so in other usual places like /usr/lib or $PREFIX/usr/lib. Otherwise change the script to call it something like libm.
