Hi Peter,
Did the 2.17 version of strip that you used have the patch from this issue
applied to it ? If not, please could you try using the patched version and let
me know if it still fails. Also please could you try using a version of strip
built from the current mainline sources ?
Assuming that neither of these two versions of strip work, then we need to
find out what is different with libprldap50.so when striped with 2.16.1 and with
current mainline. Would it be possible for you to make a tarball of these three
files (before strip/after strip 2.16.1/after strip current) available so that I
could take a look ?
