There isn't a copy of the manual there; There is an old binutils manual in CVS at http://www.gnu.org/software/binutils/manual. Although it wasn't linked from the binutils page, it was linked from gnu.org/manual. That's what H-P noticed and reported to webmasters.
Or, did you mean adding a copy there so that one didn't have to go to sourceware? Yes, that was the suggestion. After all, it's nice for documentation of GNU projects to be at gnu.org, although of course it's not a requirement. >From my point of view, what I'd most like to have is a generic url (at whichever site). E.g., having http://www.gnu.org/software/binutils/manual just redirect to sourceware would be ok for me.
