Problem appears when using --as-needed as e.g. gcc inserts automatically around
-lgcc_s. It seems to have been introduced by
http://sourceware.org/ml/binutils-cvs/2005-02/msg00008.html and happens with FSF
binutils 2.15.96 and HJ Lu binutils 2.16.90.0.1
