That's expected for some locales. Greg saw the same thing. Again, it doesn't matter. Even if your UTF-8 locale did consider U+00A0 to be a <blank>, bash wouldn't consider it for delimiter duty (as I've noted elsewhere in this thread). This isn't a bug, and it's not likely to change. -- vq
