OverlayFS works surprisingly well and the irregularities are documented: https://docs.kernel.org/filesystems/overlayfs.html#inode-properties Please note that the getcwd() fallback of Bash should never get activated under normal conditions on Linux. I've hit it only due to cross compiling issues, which is another story. Thanks, //richard -- sigma star gmbh | Eduard-Bodem-Gasse 6, 6020 Innsbruck, AUT UID/VAT Nr: ATU 66964118 | FN: 374287y
