Okay, so the documentation adds up. Doesn't mean it's not a bug. If you were a normal user and were faced with the behavior presented in OP, wouldn't you think something was broken? What keeps Bash from exempting LINES and COLUMNS from `set -a' other than "it's been like this forever"? -- Oğuz
