Yeah, forgot that.  Fact was in area of self-memory insufficiently redundant
to survive ischemic event 16 months ago.

Changed to:

fnname "$@"

fnname () {
 my -a cmd=("$@")
 ... ssh ... "${cmd[@]}"
}
