Posting the script might get some results.  Or source the script after
running `set -x' and post the output.

Or, if you want to do some more work, you can take bash-4.2.28, apply the
patches one-by-one and see which one provokes the error.  That coupled with
the description in the patch file might give a hint about where to look.
