BTW, Thomas -- what is the Character that comes after 'De' in your
name? I read it as hex '0xc282c2' which doesn't seem to be valid unicode.
(it is NBSP (for address book))
RFC 2822 (section 2.2) says that Header Fields in an email must be
composed of US-ASCII characters
i don't know very well how to read RFCs, but
in "=?iso-8859-1?Q?Thomas_De=A0Contes?="
Aren't there all the needed informations to translate that in readable
characters ?

Ah...
Greg... I think the 'name' isn't part of the header...
I just tried using
𝓛𝓲𝓷𝓭𝓪 𝓦𝓪𝓵𝓼𝓱 < 𝓑𝓪𝓼𝓱@tlinx.org>, and my emailer yelled at me
saying
I had 8 bit chars in the output addresss (though I think I can set/change
that...hmm...*evil thoughts*...)...
Anyway, changed it to '𝓛𝓲𝓷𝓭𝓪 𝓦𝓪𝓵𝓼𝓱 < b...@tlinx.org>' and it
worked
fine... and came through fine (i.e. went through my ISP, came back
through fetchmail, retrieved by Tbird from Dovecot/IMAP...
So UTF8 appears to work in all my SW in the name portion...
but not in account names (well haven't fully verified that yet)...
I'm wondering if it would cough on a UTF-8 domain name.....
