Saw these come not far apart -- and I had to "restart" an email or two when I noticed that pressing "reply" didn't go to the list as it does on some lists.

Would it be a bad thing to set mail-list software to automatically default to the list as the 'default' response, and the user would have to address an email, manually, to not respond to the list? Depends on the nature of the list, but more often announcement lists are set to respond to poster, while error&feature discussion lists more often have the list as the default Reply target. (Assuming the list SW can filter out bounces and mail errors...:-))... Linda
