I compiled bash-3.2.0 from source (bash-3.2.tar.gz). After installation i get errors at configuring different software, especially at my KDE-project. I tried also different types of bash (features - more or less) - always this error. When I downloaded bash I haven't seen a patch to this version, so I did now installed GNU bash, version 3.00.16(1)-release (i686-pc-linux-gnu). Now all works fine. Sorry that I haven't installed the last patch, I only was interrested in the last released version. So if you have patched this error yet it would be solved. But on such an error a new version should be released - it's my opinion.
