Bash Version: 3.0 Patch Level: 16 Release Status: release Description: In VI mode the "r" command no longer keeps the cursor over the changed character; it moves the cursor to the right after the change. This is different from previous versions I've used and no longer does what "vi" does. Repeat-By: Cursor to a character to replace, do "r" and the character to replace with. Watch cursor move to the right one column from the change. Fix: Go back to mimicking the real vi behaviour please! Is there an environment variable or something I can change to get the old behaviour back? Thanks! _______________________________________________ Bug-bash mailing list Bug-bash@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-bash
