Open a Finder window
Type command-shift-g and enter /bin into the dialog box, hit `Go'
Select bash, copy to bash.bad (if you like) using option-drag
(this will copy to `bash copy', which you can rename)
Select bash, move to trash
Select sh, copy to bash
(again, rename `sh copy' to `bash')

Now you have a fresh copy of /bin/bash and your terminal windows should
open again.
