I am well aware that OS 10.3.x does not need a Bourn > Shell, since it already has one. I have been getting the following message > every time I use the Terminal.app: > > Welcome to Darwin! > dyld: -bash Undefined symbols: > _tgetent > _tgetflag > _tgetnum > _tgetstr > _tgoto > _tputs > [Process completed] > bBL > > Simply, how do I uninstall this shell.
Open a Finder window Type command-shift-g and enter /bin into the dialog box, hit `Go' Select bash, copy to bash.bad (if you like) using option-drag (this will copy to `bash copy', which you can rename) Select bash, move to trash Select sh, copy to bash (again, rename `sh copy' to `bash') Now you have a fresh copy of /bin/bash and your terminal windows should open again.
