Hi Eric - thanks for the follow-up. I believe most or all of those failures are because of a dumb automake version parsing problem that I haven't fixed yet (there's never been a version like 1.16.0.90 before), unrelated to the .dSYM patch.
BTW, I ran my make check with -j too. It's pretty unbearably slow otherwise. karl
